Observational/Architectural Drawing
Observational drawing of architectural forms and shapes, intended to develop the Eye of the Students and their ability to See. Looking to identify the shapes and rhythms of the buildings without agonizing over immediately attaining technical perfection. The first part is learning how to hold the drawing material and losing the self consciousness around Drawing. Develop the skills of Looking and Seeing first, then focus on improving technical drawing skills once the confidence is gained, as well as to emphasize the importance of process work in the creation of finished artworks. This can also be structured to focus on Perspective, the importance of process work in VCD, developing depth through shade and tone as well as a host of other lessons.
